I attended a talk by Richard in Canberra (Australia) last year. Not only is he one of the most animated, interested speakers I’ve ever had the pleasure to hear, he is incredibly knowledgeable about his subject matter (terrifyingly so, in fact), but he is also demonstrably a language polymath and ideally suited for the very important role he fills at W3C.
Any chance I got to listen or talk to him again would be high on my list of “must dos”.
这是一个很好的文章和翔实. 互联网是不是空中交通管制.
谢谢你这儆醒.

Very good read. One question about character encoding, though:
Does someone know a “all-ye-need-to-know” article on character encoding, what best-practices there are, taking non-english sites into consideration?
Moderator, I’m sorry. Feel free to edit or delete my posts, as I have found what I’ve been looking for on Richards quicktips-list.
“The Internet is not air traffic control.” I agree with You and I want to thank for great interwiev with Richard Ishida. Greetings
