I like the warmth, tone and historical perspective of Jeff Lash’s article. I’d add that as the public, business and academia become more familiar with information architecture, a categorical “snap to grid” will occur. The job will become a really amazing profession – something to aspire to, equivalent to its namesake, architecture. With the further development of 3D environments for the web, the links between IA and concrete architecture will become quite blurry, and quite interesting.
