I rarely find myself wanting/needing to have a new physical book in my web dev library anymore. (Almost) everything is available on the web itself, and things are happening so fast that by the time a book gets to print, it’s nearly obsolete.

However, the thing that makes this book great isn’t the nuts and bolts of what code to use – it’s the whys and hows. Real-world examples of how to think about the code, not how to write the code.

(At least, that’s what I got out of it).

I preordered this book. When I got it – I read it in 2 days. Swallowed it. Then re-read it a week later. Even though I already knew pretty much everything, it was a very good read. Helped me to organize my knowledge in 250 pages on my desktop :)
