Sites of Note

You can probably tell by the frequency of posts that things are getting busy again for me, so I will make this post more of a compelation instead of my typical post. Quite simply, here are some sites that I have been keeping track of lately be it for good content, good ideas, or just simply general interest:

Not all of these sites are new or anything (well, some are somewhat new). More to the point, this is just what I am keeping an eye on. I’d love to hear what sites you are keeping an eye on lately.

Is it just something to do with my connection, or is UX Magazine’s server the slowest thing since frozen molasses? Or, perhaps more likely, simply not up to meeting the demands being placed on it? More often than not, trying to read an article via their RSS feed just results in a time-out. It just took roughly 60 seconds for their server to even respond to a request to load the homepage (this is browser independent on a partial T3 connection).

This is taken from my end of year blog entry of what I’m reading now … This is just the top /files/includes/10.css, I have a more comprehensive list @ My fave blogs (no aggregators) 1. – a comic strip, great articles, and a rabid commenting community make this blog one of my favorites. 2. Functioning Form – One of the most intelligent bloggers on design of digital systems I have met and read. Covering these topics: visual design

What a great feeling it is to find out that the people you read and follow are in fact reading and following you back. Thanks Nick! Blair: You are very right. But I’m glad to say that we _were_ excrutiatingly slow until today. We’ve tweaked the site still runs slower than we’d like it to but we’re now working on upgrading our server. We should hopefully be running smoothly by the time we get out of beta in the next few weeks. (Fingers crossed.) So keep on reading. 🙂

What is Newsvine all about? They don’t say on their site. I’m not gonna signup for something of which I know nothing about. Kinda dumb if you ask me.

Joshwa: Ok, the easiest way to explain it is to point to Mike Davidson’s post on it Get Ready for Newsvine.
