I think Dan Gillmor is on to something here, though it's nothing really new... it's more of a new way of thinking than anything else at this moment. His article, The bubble has burst, so it's back to the ideas seems to speak towards "the next step" ...and what is that next step? If you ask me, I'd say pervasive computing. Time to sharpen up your XML skills or get stuck in the mud.
