New Architect publishes a great article called form, function, emotion by Jennie Rose which reveals the inside story of the philosophy and process of Frog Design. Quoting the article, "Launched in 1999, R/3's new look was a big hit with customers" ...we, as a user of SAP, strongly disagree... with my limited experience with SAP I can first handedly agree that the SAP portal product has perhaps the worst user interface I have ever had the displeasure of seeing or using... period.

Here is a great article by Steve Outing that details how the news industry deals with online publication: "News Sites Repeat Mistakes Of the Past" Speaking for myself, I have had the luxary to meet with some of the people who helped build Slashdot.org (Brian Aker and Tim Lord) and Kuro5hin (Rusty Foster) and I must say that they have the right concept. The Web is a 2 way or even multi-way medium, it is time we start using it that way. [from Tomalak's Realm]
