Subha Subramanian, of gotomedia, has authored a great article entitled "An Introduction to Information Architecture" which covers the 101 of IA. Hopefully, after reading this article, people will stop saying "I like how you made the IA" when they are really referring to the primary navigation bar on a site. Anyway, this article is a great starting point for those who wish to learn more about IA.
