The Experience Gap

Karl Long has an interesting post in which he explains why the experience is not the brand. I can relate to his points here having just purchased my own Mac. I am happy to say that the experience has, for the most part, lived up to the brand promise.. though there was a little bit of a hiccup in wrangling some Test Drives off the system in order to install the full versions... something for Apple to fix in the next release of OS X ...but it was relatively minor and easily fixed with a few system searches.
