For some of us, a favorite pastime is gazing at beautiful type. FontShop recently published Made with FontFont: Type for Independent Minds, a delicious 352-page book perfect for whiling away an afternoon or three. Filled with real-life examples of fonts in use, as well as art and articles by Paula Scher, Neville Brody, Susanna Dulkinys, Ellen Lupton, and others, the book was edited by Erik Spiekermann and Dutch designer Jan Middendorp.
