Like all things on the Web and in our life there comes a point where things just need to change. So starting today there is a little change going on here around the Digital Web Magazine office. We are going to make this transition as subtle as possible. Now, while I can’t officially comment on the change or the purchasing price, I can say that the branding department has already stepped in and made some adjustments to the logo. When in doubt force-reload. [editorial note: this was an April Fools joke]

congrats you guys. i never you expected to split the money equally between all of us who have ever contributed (!!!) but thanks so much. woo hoo… grats nick, keith, krista!
Man, the Yahoo money train keeps on keepin’ on. I wish I had bought stock in D-W way back when. Congrats to the whole staff, I hope you can cash out soon!
I LOOOOOOVE the new logo! It’s a little more energetic, a little more fun, the kind of aestethic that will lure my mom and my baby brother toward Digital-Web – which is good, because their design skills are a little too… fresh and slick these days. I’m hoping to see more fun changes around here, maybe more emoticons, and DEFINITELY more tables. Any plans to launch an online gaming section or fun picture sharing service? Designers love kewl stuff like that. I trust a few of you cashed out big. Don’t blow it all on one line.
Great news! The best news for today so far…
hahahahahahahahaha superb 😀 nice one Nick! 😉 😉
So I was staring at new logo 🙂 Yahoo… 🙂 OK, I admit I believed it at first, you tricked me 😀 I was just about asking if that will affect content quality 😀
Nice one. You had me fooled and moaning out loud to my colleagues for a while. Going: “first Flickr, now DWM, what’s Yahoo up to?!”
Hehe… good fun. 🙂 I came from WaSP to the latest article and when I saw the logo I instantly thought “Yahoo?”. What more proof one needs of how strong branding Yahoo has.
Yeah, but now you’re gonna have Nate Koechley telling you what to do. Yikes!
You just made me spit up coffee on my monitor and keyboard Nick, I hope your happy. Thanks for starting the day of with some good humor, even if I have a mess to clean up now
OH, SNAP! Can I have my position back? 😉

I think the new logo doesn’t look as good as the previous one – change it back!

Oh boy, how I hate the 1st april … 😀
Corporate just called…they said you need to kick it up a notch and SIFR all your H1 tags using the Company Typeface as well.
Yes, I truely do hope this is an April 1st joke. I am siding with the previous logo. No Yahoo! please.
