Change

Like all things on the Web and in our life there comes a point where things just need to change. So starting today there is a little change going on here around the Digital Web Magazine office. We are going to make this transition as subtle as possible. Now, while I can’t officially comment on the change or the purchasing price, I can say that the branding department has already stepped in and made some adjustments to the logo. When in doubt force-reload. [editorial note: this was an April Fools joke]

Man, the Yahoo money train keeps on keepin’ on. I wish I had bought stock in D-W way back when. Congrats to the whole staff, I hope you can cash out soon!

I LOOOOOOVE the new logo! It’s a little more energetic, a little more fun, the kind of aestethic that will lure my mom and my baby brother toward Digital-Web – which is good, because their design skills are a little too… fresh and slick these days. I’m hoping to see more fun changes around here, maybe more emoticons, and DEFINITELY more tables. Any plans to launch an online gaming section or fun picture sharing service? Designers love kewl stuff like that. I trust a few of you cashed out big. Don’t blow it all on one line.

Nice one. You had me fooled and moaning out loud to my colleagues for a while. Going: “first Flickr, now DWM, what’s Yahoo up to?!”

Hehe… good fun. 🙂 I came from WaSP to the latest article and when I saw the logo I instantly thought “Yahoo?”. What more proof one needs of how strong branding Yahoo has.

Yeah, but now you’re gonna have Nate Koechley telling you what to do. Yikes!

I think the new logo doesn’t look as good as the previous one – change it back!

Yes, I truely do hope this is an April 1st joke. I am siding with the previous logo. No Yahoo! please.
